2011 Nebbiolo | El Dorado County

DOUBLE GOLD MEDAL -
2014 San Francisco International Wine Competition

The 2011 growing season at our Cinnamon Hill Vineyard in Garden Valley experienced conditions that would challenge the tough and resilient Nebbiolo. Thanks to a moderate crop the tough skinned Nebbiolo survived perfectly the torrential rains of early October. Subsequent beautiful weather through the end of October let the fruit reach full maturity after all. Deep garnet color, followed by the typical wonderfully complex Nebbiolo nose with red fruit mid palate and a long finish with just a hint of Hungarian oak.

2010 Dolcetto | El Dorado County

Amongst the brightest of our string of Gold Medal winning Dolcetto, this vintage features abundant quantities of cherry, raspberry, and cranberry. Tangy on the palate from bright fruit acid and always firm tannin followed by just a hint of Hungarian oak.

All Estate grown grapes from the Musso’s Cinnamon Hill vineyard, the 2010 vintage featured a very cool growing season, which allowed the fruit to hang on the vine until the very end of September. This lengthy hang time allowed for full maturity while still preserving the natural fruit acid in the berries.
