2015 Old Vine Zinfandel | Amador County

This amazingly complex Old Vine Zinfandel Reserve comes from the John Ferrero Vineyard on Shenandoah Valley Road. The nose is delicate with subtle notes of raspberry and toffee. In the mouth the wine is very soft with hints of fresh coffee bean, cherry and luscious dark chocolate. Enjoy over the next 5-7 years.

2015 Alessio | Ancient Vine Zinfandel

Planted in 1902, this ancient vine Zinfandel comes from the esteemed Ferrero Vineyard in Amador County. Alessio, meaning “defender” pays tribute to John Alessio Ferrero who spent his entire life protecting his land and tending to his vineyards. We hope you like the new name, Romanza meaning romance in Italian, that we are now using for what was once Trio. This very fine blend of mostly Italian varietals, opens with black cherry cola, ripe berry and a sweet oak nose followed by hints of leather, spice, and tobacco.
